Quality of Occupational Performance (QOP) Evaluation Tools
Important
Please read carefully
The Quality of Occupational Performance (QOP) is a suite of three occupational therapy evaluation tools designed for implementing standardized performance analyses: QOP: ADL, QOP: Schoolwork, and QOP: Social Interaction. They have been based on the performance analysis and scoring examples as described in the textbook, Powerful Practice: A Model for Authentic Occupational Therapy by Fisher and Marterella. Each QOP tool provides a standardized, valid, and reliable method for evaluating the quality of a person’s occupational performance. The QOP manual, scoring programs, and related materials are intended solely for use by occupational therapists and occupational therapy students under the direct supervision of an occupational therapist. Use by other professionals is prohibited.
The QOP tools share similarities with earlier tools, the AMPS, School AMPS, and ESI, but the new QOP tools have been updated and are far more flexible and client-centered. Importantly, the authors are committed to making these tools available free of charge, with no additional training required. For those who have not been trained in the earlier tools, the authors strongly recommend potential users attend a course to become familiar with how to use them in a valid and reliable manner.
